Darling, it felt so right To speak my heart out to you In the loneliness of the night, In the canvas of life’s darkest hue. Darling, it can’t be anyone, If you think it is not you, The happy days may be gone, But love is ever fresh and new. Darling, you may be silent for long, But I know what is stopping you, The society and the throng, But can’t you see what I go through? Darling, secretly you will remain In my aching heart all-time, I will bear all the pain, For loving you isn’t a crime!
