Theme: Relationship

Of Tales and Tails

she had laid it on thick,
there was much more butter
in his sandwich than bread!

she deliberately,
made it quite buttery,
so he'd eat silently!

tired of his grumbling,
she knew his weaknesses,
and smartly worked on them

she'd do the same at night,
anything to stop a fight,
she'd cook up his favourites

he would devour his meal
heartily and often
ask politely for more

she frequently wondered,
for how much longer she
could carry on this charade?

she stayed on just because
her heart belonged next door
she loved his neighbour more!
