The North Star

When one is alone on a dark night
Hurt slighted injured and full of fright
Deserted by friends with a slight
On that dark dark night

Look up and see the stars that are bright
To show one light on one’s dark night
Saying to one –“You too are a star”
Just like we are 

People take a lamp and a light
Only to a temple that is bright
They smile with one when one’s smile is bright
To quickly vanish when there is a dark night

But stars are always bright on a dark night
To let one know one too is a star
To show the lost ones a path and light
Yes the one in despair is also a star – the North Star!

Friends may be fleeting
Dreams retreating
No more Hellos no more Greetings
But a star is always a star 

Specially the North Star
That is what you are!
