Theme: Perspective

Light and Dark

Luminosity of light
is truly adored
only after darkness
has been endured

Joy of relief
is celebrated
only after pain
has been cured

Entrepreneur's talent
becomes a skillful class
when seeking profits
he also bears the loss

Self-esteem
gets inflated
when arrogant ego
gets deflated

Comment Dear Rajinderji,
I read your poem for the second time. I have felt that there is a soothing and melodious blend of your poetic and professional, and seemingly personal, learning and lore in this poem. I remember when I took the IAS Exam. in 1969, there was a topic for Essay writing-
Youth is a blunder; manhood a struggle and old age a repentence. I reshaped the thought as-
Youth is a struggle, manhood a luxury and old age a comfort.
Surely, after through the pitch dark, we enjoy truly and are dazzled by the light. Let us close our eyes at the dazzle for a while and see the divine radiance around!
Loving regards.
Sincerely,
RKBhushan

Comment A simple but truthful poem. God has created two 'extremes' and one extreme depends for its worth on the other extreme. This is the essence of life and we must except life in its totality -- considering both extremes! The picture associated with the poem makes it more meaningful.

Comment Astutely observed. May I add, we cannot even define GOOD, unless BAD existed. Of course, people may differ over their perceptions of good and bad!!

Comment What a stunning poem, Rajender ji. A significant contribute to the mass about the subtle meaning of life that we are at some time guilty of grasping it earlier to live and mingle in bliss...

Keep penning...it's lovely ! Cheers.
