Catamaran

catamaran.jpg

Twin-boats are sailing on
The sea of life, moving together
In one separation, the one on the shore
And the other in the middle of the wide sea
To a distant destination to come home
To the shore alone waiting for the other
Always together soul-friendly
In a friendless universe of togetherness.

Boats swiftly swim through
Tearing the waves always together
Far from home, sometimes among quaint waves;
The roars of whisper spread high and low
Break against the stony shore and die.

Boats come home, an anchor
Against all the rising tide and
Falling time, roped
Round the capstan
Cannot loosen and be lost
Forever fastened to each other

Stormy sea cannot separate
The catamaran of you and I;
The twin-boats on the sea of life
Sailing farther and firm on the fluidity
Following the direction of the
Maker’s mast destroying, and creating,
Creating, and destroying the bubbles
Out of the surge of the sea.
