Sunset of Life

The sun shines over all
Man, animal, big or small
All are equal before God
Whether rise or downfall.

In the morning of life
The sun shines bright
Happy joys are the rays
That light the dark night.

Towards the noon of life
Beauty is all for a glance
Feelings get all warmth;
Heart filled with romance.

In the evening of life
Sunny days turn bleak
Facial glow is dimmed
Bruised souls do shriek.

Grieves the night of life
With all plight and strife;
The timid or the brave
All are laid in the grave.

The morn of human life
Has a glittering dragnet
The sunrise of the world
Has a mournful sunset.
