Restlessly standing by the pond side,
Picked up a stone and threw into the water,
Shattered the stillness and disturbed the calm,
The encircling waves cascading the turmoil.
The recent incident, a bolt from the blue,
Though was a promotion and long overdue,
Robbed my security and stabbed my stability,
Ripped my certainty as if for eternity.
Neither the stone nor the incident I realised,
Can produce the turbulence, but for a while,
And time as always can calm the storm,
So flow with the time to always be fine.
