Father,
How powerless is your fairy!
Whose small hands you had once kissed
whose slightest wish you never missed
for whom you prayed day and night
she can now do nothing to soothe your plight.
You wriggle with pain
your eyes remain
glued on the sky above.
How fervently she wishes
to seize you in embrace
and beg the heavens for grace.
but ... her wand does no magic to her!!
With broken heart she sits alone
in dreams she can hear your groan
your powerless fairy, O father!
Can do nothing for you.
