Deluge

Overwhelmed
by the sudden
nightly cloudburst
the all-excited River
flowing with gusto
overlapped and drowned
her own banks
with no remorse

The breezing Wind
drenched
became passionately
raw and wild
driven with thunder
vibrating environs
jiggling, wiggling
swaying, dancing
unified the breach

Storm over
Wind blown-out
Sun peeps
from the fading clouds

Snug and playful
with the tender sunbeams
quiet flows the River
within her banks
in all her pristine glory
carefree
of the night before

I find it is also so very metaphorical and symbolic of woman power Feminine Nature. This poem reminds me of "Ghagra in spate" by great poet Daruwalla . Rajenderji very well composed I liked the positive re-generation side of it . I loved the last line flowing in "all her pristine glory of the carefree ..of the night before " Keep it up ! After the June 20th, 2013 flood of Southern Alberta, a Deluge of Kindness has been witnessed by people helping the flood victims as volunteers. Through a great trial a great humane effect has resulted. Your poem reminded me of this new life in more ways than one...
