Theme: Ambivalence

Mixed Emotions

Just one week in between and then I’ll see you,
You won’t even know what I’ve been through,
But mixed emotions are hovering in my mind,
As the last few months fate has been so unkind.

I don’t know whether to forget all the pain,
Or avoid you like you did every now and then,
Should I be happy that finally you have come,
Or be scared that you’ll make me lonesome!

I am afraid, you’ll mock at my love once again,
My efforts to be peaceful and happy will be in vain,
After so many months of silence will you talk to me?
Will you release me from the agony and set me free?

Should I tell you how much you’ve made me suffer?
Or should I keep quiet thinking, well, it made me tougher?
I am confused how to face you in front of everybody,
What if I can’t help crying when you treat me like nobody?

Still the thrill of seeing you is winning over everything,
As feelings are gushing through every ounce of my being,
Heart is beating faster, voice getting choked, lips dried,
Just for a glimpse of you, do you know how much I’ve cried?

Comment Congrats! Rupradha. The concluding two lines sum up the whole thing. I shall not call you 'Birahini, but instead 'premabhilasini'. Love to you.

Dhadak Raha Hai Dil
Dil Ko Main Kaise
Samjhaun...
Tujhse Milun Ya
Mile Bin Yahan Se
Chala Jaun...
Aisa Na Ho
Tu Yeh Dil Tode
Zamana Hanse Saara

Beautiful lyrics of a beautiful song which expresses the ambivalence of your pensive poem.
