As charm oozed from
every pore of his portly being,
he played the part
of an upper crust gentleman.
Name dropping was
an art he had cultivated
Showing himself
to be very influential...
Then came the shock ~
he was really a conman,
one that played games
with panache that none suspected.
In the court case,
that followed he remained unfazed
I'm innocent!
He pleaded before the jury.
Prison did not
alter his style, he stayed haughty,
showed no remorse,
was evasive in his replies,
deplored the Judge,
called it a fallacious judgement.
He claimed that he
was incarcerated wrongly!
He brushed away
the reporter's comments brusquely.
He had no time
for a prigish and gullible fool.
With arrogance,
he said he wasn't penitent.
Instead, he waxed
sanctimonious about his innocence....
Many may guess
the identity of this man....
I was appalled
by his sheer audacity!
