Theme: Nature

A Superstorm Named Sandy

A superstorm named Sandy
Which nature was unfolding
And I was beholding,
Was screaming at Randy.

Shrieking and howling
For several hours,
There were no powers
To stop her growling.

Like a runaway train,
The wind was blowing,
And she kept going,
Completely insane.

The rain was falling,
In fact, pounding,
And it was sounding
Truly appalling.

With no power*,
I was in the dark,
With life looking stark
In a shaking tower.

*Power was restored after nearly four days
