The Changing Face of Man

nature10.jpg

Mother Earth
         Prakriti epitomized
abhors vacuum
so does her creation

Each and every species
of animal and vegetation kingdom
adapts to her dynamic eco-laws
diligently recycles its very being
in every conceivable manner
contributing to her
incredible regenerative diversity

But, man
the higher animal
converted and transformed
from harmony to antagonism
tearing the very fabric of ecology
               mushrooming the planet
               with a portentous count
                      that proliferates
                      despite killing each other
is evolving impudently
into a ruthless being

Alas!
The chosen one
said to be created in His own image
riveted by narcissistic temptations
of lust and greed
stands inexorably beguiled
by brutal forces …
... desecrating the Garden of Eden!

Is man -- created in His own image -- heading for annihilation in a frenzy of self-arrogance?

TO: Mr. Rajender Krishan
You have aptly depicted the grave concern of the present generation's anxiety about the ultimate fate of our civilization. Has Aldous Huxley's amazing prophecy in early 50s has eventually landed on us? ~ "History of human civilization is going to be one of victory of Belial (the Devil) over God."

Comment Good contrast of Mother (Nature) and her progenies, the former assimilate and portray divinity , the latter degenerate and symbolize profanity
