Colors of Life

It is so easy to describe
Someone as green with envy
And go on to ascribe
His character with shades of grey!

We’d love to beat someone black and blue
If he hurts us with a lie that’s white in hue!
These days journalism appears mostly yellow
And he who doesn’t enjoy it is a silly fellow!

Then the young lady blushes a deep pink
When her beloved’s hands with hers link!
And his betrayal leaves her red with rage
As if she has been torn off like a page!

Some days are only black…
That turn the moods blue,
And body limp and slack
With choices to live very few!
