Cut off
from the soil of birth
Suffocated
on a foreign land
It seeks
comforts and solace
In the root of
its Mother soil
For cultural,
social, moral
individual,
environmental oxygen
To sustain itself
In the suffocating milieu
of the urbanization
and modernization
Held in ransom in towns
It cannot grow alive
Even if implanted
with great care
On the foreign soil
But if grains of motherly
Soil are put around it
It grows up healthily
and gives us a rose.
