Opportune 2013

Imprinted on the timeline of ebbing 2012
Are gruesome memories of ghastly hate
Yet, the rising tidal waves usher in
Arrival of the vibrant New Year date

Reaffirming and living our pledge
To love and protect all, far and near
Treating everyone with reciprocal dignity
Will erase ugly blots of the yester year

as we sign off 2012, let us all take a pledge to henceforth ensure parity between our daughters and our sons, so that they grow up with respect for not only each other but for all of woman kind.
let us remember our real cultural heritage, not that which has been masculated by the patriarchial society
