A Speck

Sailing across a vast blue sky
a little bird appears as a dream in flight,
a flower of freedom,
a picture of peace,
a paper boat of joy and delight;

Promptly I see another –
blithe and silent,
on its wings in my heart,
towing me into a vast uncertainty –
the sages say it divinity
and what shall I say?

A speck of infinity!
