I stood the test of times
From humble beginnings,
Surviving the internal competition,
Not speaking of pests and poachers alike,
Besides sheltering all and sundry,
And taking their blows in silence.
In return I left a Buddha enlightened
And for which sake alone
I am bound to tell you the truth
That I am on my way out,
Unless you people wake up in time
And save yourselves by saving me.
