He took the students into his fold,
Guided and goaded them to their goals,
Coached them in shaping their careers,
By moulding their nature to build a great future.
While some reached heights,
Others faltered in their flight,
And every teacher in his journey,
Had seen the zenith, and the nadir too.
The plants in a garden or the trees in a wood,
Blossom to brightly fragrant flowers,
And nurture luscious to delicious fruits,
Sway, but only at the level of leafy branches.
It never develops airs,
Nor goes into moments of despair,
It pursues its pursuit,
Grandiosely, steadily and steadfast
