Frozen in Time

'Twas the first Christmas that Michael and I spent together
It was the early nineties
Granddaughter sent us Lithuanian sweaters

She went to Lithuania to learn of the people
Who gathered her to their hearts
They became Christians
experiencing her dedication and youthful spirit

'Pon her return
She found us at our happiest
We were newly weds who had joy
And a twinkle in our eyes

I think back when
We laughed at everything
Whim that sprang to mind
The picture of us frozen in time

Enjoying Christmas for the first time
I'm glad the picture was taken
To remind me of love from his heart and mine
Precious moments ... frozen in time.
