I bow my head to those, who were
Alert, near the border in Kargil,
And the soldiers, who have sacrificed
Their lives in defending on that typical hill.
Where intruders made it a troublesome
Spot and nature covered it with snowfall.
Pakistan lost its soldiers and ammunition,
But got nothing anyhow, not at all.
Dare is appreciable of Vijay campaign even
Though they got their hands or legs broken.
Instead of caring about their own lives, they waved
The tri-color flags at the top and enemies were trodden.
O! Dear great souls, you were born not
To make merry, but to die, for this nation.
“How strong and brave warriors you were!
“There is no need of any expression.
You didn’t move away till the last breath
But stepped over enemies for country's sake.
Their bullets you bore on your iron chest,
But didn’t turn to show them your back.
There was a smile on your lips with
These words “Jai Hind” at the time of death.
“I will be born again for serving the motherland”,
This sentence shows your patriotism and faith.
Here I can guess, the cries of your wife,
Children and relatives, on your loss.
But they are proud of you and your sacrifice
that, You live long for India’s dignity and toss.
Economic relief cannot fulfill your loss,
In the lives of friends and close relatives.
One becomes an immortal pavement
In history of nation, who his life gives.
I, again kneel and am proud of those mothers,
who gave birth and brought up such brave sons.
And don’t hesitate to say even in tears, that
Such sacrifices build and keep alive our nations.
