Whose House?

Coexistence With Nuisances - Pigeons
                                     I
There is a shelter of pigeons at ancient ‘Meera Mahal’ Merta
for many years. They frequently come at the top of our house
and dance, play and coo ‘gutar goon, gutar goon.’
They build nests, lay eggs, filth with dirt everywhere in it
even in the kitchen, roof, rooms and safer places from the cat.
We are troubled very much by these naughty pigeons.
They don’t go away even if my son fires crackers several times.
I don’t know what should we do to escape from these birds?
We have shrugged & compromised to live with these pigeons
as considering that they all are the lovely creatures of God.
                                     II
A thought echoes in my mind again and again -
Man invests large money and time to build a house
for himself, but that house is not owned by him.
The ants, birds, insects, spiders, lizards, black bees, and
Mice come to live without any invitation or permission.
They claim, it is their house, while as man says it is mine.
But sorry, the house is not really owned by anyone.
Many generations came & went, even today they are going
to an unknown place, from where none has returned.
Alas! We are helpless that no one could return forever.
What an agony, delusion and deception this life is!
