Roaming in the jungles of mind Made me a koala in New South Wales- With a Bedouin life and pouch, Where my memory dwells! Mind was innocent, And heart worry free- While I moved from place to place, Like bottom to the top of tree! No bills to pay, hassles, Or checks to write- And slept like a baby Through each and every night! Now, the din and bustle of city Rattles the peace around my nest- And keeps me hopping With new hopes to have the best! I know no limits or speed, When and where to stop or run- But mimic a few voices, Without a choice just for fun!
Well, the cheers of my younger years Seem to be coming to a halt- So colleagues are ready to clap and sing: Au revoir! Koala! Take life with a grain of salt!!
