Theme: Introspection

Crime and Punishment

Wrong doings are the order of the day
As long as one is not caught, it is okay.
First on the mind is the thought,
“Thank God, I am not caught!”

Is not being “caught”, ALL,
From one’s eyes not to fall?
Whether guilty or not as hell,
All will soon be caught as well.

A vision blurred by inducements
A mind marred by enticements,
A heart tarred by greed,
Are all scary portents indeed!

When one puts pelf
Above all and self,
And errs without fear,
Downfall is quite near.

Law may take its own course
Justice mayn’t be easy to enforce.
The arms of law may be quite long,
And one may get let off for a song!

Let’s remember His eyes are on all
And let us not from His grace fall!
