People's hopes clad in corruption
Body and soul covered in corruption
Society totally layered with corruption
Concrete structures sprayed with corruption
With every human enveloped in corruption
There’s a calm but eerie stillness in the air
And all over - a cunning and impure aura
Stretching far to the sight and vision
The Street, the sidewalk, the children’s park
The institutions, the hospitals, the business centres
The system, the machinery, growth of you and me
All achieved through an anonymous anti-parable
In the diffuse sunlight
The opacity does completely reflect…
Red, blue, yellow, orange and mauve Thus changed into colours unknown
No original colour left, not anymore
Nothing pure is seen, felt or heard
Corruption suits, mittens and caps
To erase evidence, everywhere seen
But the air is still fresh, crisp and cold
Not that far is that day of judgement
Where all these colours merge and say
“Whiteness, whiteness everywhere; behold!
Start breathing some of it and do rethink
On what should be done!”
