Two Steps from Hell

I’m two steps from hell
Dwelling upon sunsets
Life is about to end
On the sea of reality

You see it in a different light
Sunset to you is out of sight
Mine is a blight upon the horizon

Reminded of the flaw in my humanity
It is but a means to an end
Life is what it is, my friend

I see Hades
Will I see you waiting for me?
I hope with all my heart it will be
Seeking refuge in what’s before me.
