Theme: Detachment

Detachment

Yearning and detachment,
rulers of my life.
Fate assembles the design
from my first breath.

So many times
unimaginable anguish
of separation,
my soul had screamed
don't go ... Oh, please
not yet... Oh, not yet.

But silver dagger
with forceful blow
cut my pleading,
deep from its roots,
freezing my voice
until it had no sounds,
paralyzing my heart.

Slowly tears dry,
resigned forever
to the inevitable.

Their love depth
was always felt,
separated by distance
or snatched by death,
rejection was never their aim,
destiny alone played the game.

Masterfully trained
in the art of detachment,
never again I try to hold
to any mortal being,
as they say goodbye
veiling my emotions,
give to them myself
in a warm smile.

Alone with my soul,
I detach.
