From the land of fairy tales and dreams
At an auspicious moment comes the prince
He comes secretly in him
Whom we always know
From far his footsteps echo
In our heart, in our everyday world
His words bring the message of a new beginning
And we realize we were sleeping so long
Unconscious under the spell of worthless things
We wake up by his magic touch
We feel a creative urge
Paying our obeisance we tell him,
“You are our prince.
We had lost our identity
In an impregnable dungeon
The demons of dead customs
Had kept us imprisoned
By a miracle you have burnt it down
And made us free
You have made us your own.
Now we see you in a new light
Today the bud is in full bloom
And we say, you are our prince.”
