Theme: Humour

His Worry

Even at the age of seventy-six
He is quite lively and smart
Eat, drink and be merry his ethos
Finding him anxious and low
I routinely enquired about
His health and well-being.

He blinked for a moment
Then replied as follows:

Continuous morning walks
Supplemented with umpteen pills
Are not bringing relief these days-
Sugar is getting out of control
Blood pressure is shooting up
And acidity is making life hell...

Now I am really worried
If this is the state of affairs
Of my health at this stage
God! What will happen
When I enter my old age?

(Some people are really apprehensive in accepting the realities of old age.)

Comment In the most hilarious way you have told the truth. The real twist is in the tail - your friend is yet to realize he has already entered the old age!
