Locked in Memories

Memories gush in without my consent
A storm of restlessness grabs
my peace of mind.
Entangling me
deeper and deeper with its strong hold
on me without being kind.

Is it so easy to escape, to run away,
to emancipate from
nostalgic memories?

Slowly silently creeping
into the silent moments of the past
and find myself in tears.
Memories brutally instigate to desire
more of those moments
but finally leaving me helpless with fears.
Knowing that desires are cause of all sufferings
Yet why do I desire to find
solace in this sweet entanglement and cravings?

On purpose never wished
to locate the door to escape
would remain locked happily
in memories forever and forever.
Memories are truly loyal
for sure will never
leave me alone anytime
in my lifetime.

It is a cumbersome task....
to escape and run away from the memories..

the sweeter ones cherish along..
while the bitter ones haunt ..

let it be bad or good...
memories are a part of us...
without them, we are dead..
without us... they too...

there is a grandeur in every line...

Memories do have a habit of holding one in their vice grip - here you have chosen to hold on to memories - chosen to be locked up by memories...Excellent wordplay that at once tugs at the heart strings! Well done, Mohiniji.

Two images--that of a creeper "entangling me/deeper and deeper with its strong hold" and the other of a locked chamber of memories--are really good. But, I also think that you could have done better by extending the first one for a while for better effects. Overall, good!
