Why do you weep my elfin friend?
Maiden of fey beauty and charm; lithe in form,
With ruby heart of rare warmth.
Dry your rainbow tears and gaze at me.
I shall pick your shaken spirit up
From the floor of life’s lonely highway;
Whose savage shards of broken glass
Have severed your once joyous innocence.
I shall raise you into a realm of glowing light
And golden days; where the rays of Apollo’s star
Penetrate those murky depths of despair and silent solitude;
The place where your soul screams.
I will take you by your tender hand and guide you
On a rich tour of the wonders of reality;
Where the beauty of mind’s creation makes
Everything possible and the impossible real.
And where those who have passed before are reborn;
Into a world of undying warmth and compassion.
Where they assume tangible form and thrive again;
And you are but a moment’s sleep away from them.
So take my hand, come with me and drift into
The eternal land of dreams;
