Oh, the scars I bore
On the sheet of my thin flesh,
Manly as they were
Far deeper they gorged
Inner my transient anatomy,
No word can unriddle
The pain that they led me.
I was banged, molested
Further I was beaten severely,
Ultimately you proved
That you won this battle bravely,
But you fought down
The flesh less strong naturally,
Oh! What the pride
You have acquired recently!
The blisters I held
You failed to see,
Then how can you claim
You loved me passionately?
No matter how savagely
You touched my flesh earthly
But can you touch
The light of my soul, purely heavenly?
