My life is like Nature in autumn When leaves fall away Burning bushes burn. Some of my dreams and desires Still burn with flames that churn. Others burn away in ashes, Not waiting for their turn.
I look at the maple in front yard Part of leaves blown away, Part still hang loose Color changing from green to crimson, to yellow Waiting for the trumpet of autumn to bellow 'Make up your mind' I scream at the tree Set all your leaves free It is after all autumn You are a maple Not a burning bush to burn.
The same order I give to my mind It is autumn of life So, don't be blind Let go of crimson leaves, Let go of life's dreams Settle down in autumn, my mind, Don't be a fool and don't be blind.
