None tells the truth about life
Better than Nature -
Birds and beasts, learn and follow it
In silence, love and live together;
Believe it or not,
Like so many things
Man-woman intramural relationship too
Sometimes livid as river
Sometimes rigid as desert
If woman responds
River-like effluent
A calm prevails to realize
What’s sharing the burden
As a lover
What’s caring
As does the mother earth,
If woman declines
Desert-like searing all along;
Love smiles rare
Even in embracing rain!
A distance
Neither man nor woman
Comes to cover,
A distance
Shaking their inner world
Growing some frugal tastes
Somewhere overt, somewhere covert,
Tells the outer world:
Untold words of jilted love
Can’t hide the pain of carnal flame -
Better to aim at falling in love again!
For neither man nor woman
Gains from estrangement -
A scar remains,
Remains to convey
A prelude to promiscuity:
Over the decades
Man in momentary temptation
Has very often
Dared and dived impromptu
Into a self-willed slot
When woman
Gasping in innate privacy
Has her intuitive syllable lost!
