Theme: Role

Challenge

storm in sea --
Manthara hands over a boat to
each sailor

Ramayan would have been a damp squib but for Manthara's timely twist. She helped all the attributes both good and bad to blossom. She was in fact the director of the great drama. Manthara was the household help of queen Kaikeyi, the most beautiful of the three queens of King Dasarath.

Comment Thank you, Padmaja. The links are intricate in great epics and life is a great mosaic of unseen events.

Comment Indeed, no Mantharaand Kaikeyi, no Ramayana! Excellent analogy drawn in the poem. Thanks for sharing Dr. Mallik.

Comment kaikeyi's humility would have been undisclosed,if manthara'a turn in RAMAYAN IS not there in the epic.
