Wanda Webber, pretty, one of the super cool
Girls of her school; in her mind at least,
Watched the new girl arrive.
Licking her lips in cool anticipation;
She had waited several days to savour this.
The new girl, tall, clever, lithe of form, dark-haired
And oh so pretty, took her allotted desk.
And as she reached inside for her school books;
Wicked Wanda smiled a dark smile;
As the new girl screamed in shock and pain.
She never saw the deadly spider lurking
Menacingly in the dark corner of her school desk;
Which wicked Wanda had placed with such care and
Attention earlier that day.
Wicked Wanda, eyes ablaze with victory, licked her lips
Again in ice cold triumph as the ambulance arrived.
Wicked Wanda didn’t like pretty new girls in her class.
