The Lone Voice

Often missed is that lone voice
In any crowd’s din and noise...
In mob culture, reason and sanity
Are always the greatest casualty.

Surely, majority needn’t always be right
And outshouting is often show of might.
And it would certainly be a grave sin
To drown reason and sanity in the din.

Let’s give the voice of sanity its due
And help it become the voice of a few,
So that more and more take the cue
And come to reason and sanity’s rescue.

Let the lone, sane voice become that of many
And guide our nation’s and our own destiny.
