Theme: Conscience

Stream of Consciousness

images17.jpg

Your call wakes me up
From the painful nightmares
By and by...
Bit by bit...
Reality dawns on me!

Coming from nowhere
Conscience consoles me
With hope and succor

With a bonanza
Subdued joy smiles on me
Freed from the prolonged grief!

Comment Respected Shiben Kachro Sir,

Thanks for sparing your valuable time for glancing at my poem and for the appreciation. As for the confusion due to the use of the most confusing words -"consciousness" (being aware ) and "conscience" (the sense of what is right and wrong or ' viveka' in Sanskrit), I would like to clarify the mysterious implication of the terms.Pattering or activating sounds made by the flowing stream of spiritual awareness makes the positive plexus to give a way to evolution of conscience that philosophically makes us forget all the transient miseries of life, providing eternal bliss in midst of the cacophony of the material world. That's that.... Moreover, I would request you to continue to read my poems giving the required suggestion, whatsoever. Thank you so much once again.Regards...

Comment The title fits the picture to a tee.The picture suggests remotely to Shiva holding Ganga in his tresses, but the title ' stream of consciousness' and the word 'conscience' in second line of the second stanza seems to jar and somewhat baffles me. A very thought provoking poem.
