On the road and left to freeze
Chilled by the swift mid-night breeze
The empty cans and forsaken papers
The foggy nooks and silence breakers
The gusty headlights and dim lamp posts
Bring forth the stories of thousand ghosts
The endless road and shivering vision
In awe and aghast to complete a mission.
O'er the road the wilderness shimmer
The glow worms and the hum of whisper
The tales which have haunted the place
The forlorn villas crave for the grace
Of light and hope, and warmth of the day
A mission to fulfill, come what may.
The frozen clouds and the uncanny night
No place to sleep, not a fire in sight
The stray dogs and the smitten dust
The shelter for nomads living on fast
Time moves on, so does the road
A long way to go to reach the abode.
