Today’s world is beset with conflict, pain
that is wrought on one faction by another,
emerging on the stage where truth alone
prevails; and truth alone can be no other.
Blame not the tyrant in whatever sphere
he appears, artless as the summer’s day
that forces its attentions, or that here
the hurricane sweeps in relentless sway.
Curse not any man or power that rises
to blight the earth, for this is revelation
as sure as gospel truth, sure as suffices
what’s hidden exposed in direct relation.
Superficial the clash seen of good
against evil, warring principles fleshed
in mutual recrimination, as would
look to some end to resolve, but truth refreshed.
