Yet Another Diwali

Tamso Ma Jyotirgamaya;
Take me to light from darkness –
From the darkness of ignorance
To the light of wisdom and knowledge

In the darkest night of the year
Away from light into darkness
It is only in the utter darkness
That we yearn for enlightenment.

Year after year people light diyas
But if everyone could only learn
Attachment takes us to darkness
And detachment takes us to light.
