O Tears! Surging....
Condense into drops and melt
Down with heaviness
Into my heart, weary
Of a lump in my throat By carrying away a whole sheaf
Of choking chronic woe and grief..!
O Tears! Stagnating....
Fall down from the eyes, heavier
Swollen so red blaze
In the ingratitude fire of heart
Smokelessly ignited in me
By those hands that I once kissed,
Now I hear the damsel’s deadly hiss..!
