Sometimes, our life takes such a turn
It moves ahead fast and you are left behind
Perhaps to make you learn a lesson or two
Or to live in regret and repentance all the time.
He still remembers the moment, he saw her
As if his heart had stopped beating
As if he had forgotten his breathing
A case of affection and love at first sight.
She remained around for a reasonable time
Yet he remained ignorant till the final goodbye
If a relationship is for togetherness and belonging
Or for the love, longing, absence and loss in time.
Unaware then, the day he loses her
He shall lose the worth and spark of life
Transfixed, he watched her walking away
Perhaps never to meet again in his lifetime.
