My heart bleeds to see her in such a state Bent with time her lagging gait The long-lasting smile amidst the pain Now, amid the brow all the strain. As every other Indian woman Her life revolved around mustard and cumin Conjuring gastronomical delights For family, the neighbors too got bites. No degree to her credit Hitherto, she brought no discredit In all her actions to a T Never from challenges did she flee. Her constant words of encouragement "Try, try, try again" - for us steady nourishment In spite of her failing health ‘Educated Family’- her hoarded wealth. In the twilight of her life With kith and kin no strife… My heart stands in gentle awe - You are amazing, Ma! Vazhga Valamudan - a blessing to live Healthy and Wealthy. She never fails to bless her children, relatives, acquaintances, helpers, all those whom she encountered, and continues to....

A very true to life portrayal of an Indian housewife in her golden years. God gave a mother to humanity to furnish a sample of His own love for humanity. Very touching.

I have been fortunate to receive the Blessings (Vazhga Valamudan) for over 40 years on every occasion I met her. I pray to Baghawan to bless her normal heath and strength to remain with us for many more decades to come... Lakshmanan
