So bizarre is the dance
of our democracy -
the biggest game people play
with their politicians
through rounds of elections.
Poll results out:
some power-mongers stand
on their feet
to meet their needs
and soaring greed,
while some stumble down
hot red-faced
to the slippery floor
to lick people’s boots again.
In every way there remains
the status quo -
the major stumbling block
to the overall progress
of the country,
of the general populace
faced with their pitiable plight..!!
