Theme: Friendship

Forbidden Love, Faith & Expectations

Yes, the invite came to me
From you quite unexpectedly
When I said that I want
To be with you for some time
Again packed with the same
Fondness and Friendship

I crossed the sea of
Trepidation and fear
And Bay of Bengal,
Landed to reach you

The same love
The same affection
The same care and
The same bonhomie

This time I didn’t want
To miss the opportunity
Prepared myself mentally
To make love to you
My longtime desire

But, a word you said
Intentionally or accidentally
Broke my glass of desire
Into shreds and smithereens

I finally made my heart
Speak those words of
Forbidden love to you
You just smiled and
Left it hung in the air

The closeness I had
Just ended with a hug
And pecks on your cheeks

The bodies came closer
But parted by the line, my
Fear of losing the prized
Friendship nurtured so far

I know I failed again but
I am happy
That I have expressed
What I wanted to you

Whether you identified
My love and lust or not
I shouldn’t have any

Regrets now because
Your Friendship is
More Precious to Me

I know I will be burnt
By my desires of passion
And the embers of lust
Will be alive forever
Tormenting me eternally
Beneath the Ash of Affection

I still live with the hope
That a day will come
When you will offer
Yourself to me with

More love and lust

Maybe just a dream!
But, what makes our lives
Happy and move ahead,
Faith and Expectations
Even if they may
Go unfulfilled!
