There is nothing new in human condition
It’s only water in the river that’s new every trice.
Hunger, greed, passion and power-mongering
Are as old as the hills and the ocean
Is there anything new now?
There is always more talk
Gift of the gab surges ahead in geometric progression
Common sense uncommon is ‘modernity’
Man can marry man – things unnatural
Things are legitimized, legalized
This is new, if you take it so
Money-spinning and megalomania are old too.
We’d do well to get back to ancient, saintly wisdom
That alone would be newness desirable.
