Hunger, thirst, disease and travails may cause explosion
People need food and work – not assurances and promises
No longer is it easy to raise bogies calling them causes
Ideals, peace, fraternity, equality are not chimerical
In many a place, all around, polities are in imminent peril
Changing guards wouldn’t always strengthen fortresses
Value deterioration in citizenry percolates from places high
Elections and emergence of leaders bring a brief euphoria
Gangrenous, degenerating moral fabric demands radical action
Necessary it is to realize that maintenance must precede governance
But would anyone listen and start acting with gumption?
