Decay and decadence are Maya – all His ordinance and consequence
Drains, filthy sewerage lie under the grime of the river now
Plans, schemes made, money spent with promises flamboyant
Do not seem to have convinced even the pious to brave a bath there.
Can filial devotion to motherhood again be resurrected?!
Can legislation cleanse the river to her grandeur natural?!
When worship and devotion to the supreme are given the go-by,
Can brazen-faced sacrileges be ever forgiven by the omnipotent?!
