Here, there is no life;
Rather life stops here.
No sky,
Not a glimpse of Sun,
No green plant is seen.
Walls and walls,
Our souls are surrounded by walls
How the world revolves
Around the wall!
The wall separates us
From the outer world
Yes! The outer world
Where every day the sun rises
And people go to work.
The lovely sky spreads its roof
Over the men of earth,
Flower blooms
Children cry
Women dressed in good clothes.
No one thinks we exist
We breathe inside the walls,
The bricks take our breaths
And darkness reigns
A damp moist world of hell!
Only iron bars!
The flesh and blood
Behind the bars
Only the iron bars!
Air fears to pass
Light fears to come,
Every day is all the same.
When all the doors are shut
These iron bars welcome
With their deadly bricks and damp world.
Here lies shame and fear
uncivilized fallen we are!
Eyes are dry,
A bit swollen with pain
Only memories are the companions
To think of our good past,
Behind the bars.
